A return to Sporadic Daily Drawings: #10 – Life Drawing
On Thursdays, between 12:30 and 3:00 I go do life drawing at the Community School of Music and Design. This is something I do every week, regardless of how busy I am (unless I’m on vacation). There, now that it’s writing I’ll have no choice but to keep it up, (I felt my resolve waning last week). Also, now that this is on the interweb, if anyone wants to stalk me I’m easier to find. See you next Thursday.
Sporadic-Daily-Drawing #9 – Trumansburg Gimme Coffee
I’ve taken the Gimme Coffee tour on the road, up to Trumansburg (look for Trumansburg Falls photos coming to the vacation photos section soon). Here is a quick sketch of the inside of the coffee shop with an even quicker photoshop treatment on top.
Not-So-Daily, Daily Drawing; Lower Taughannock Creek Drawing
Lower Taughannock creek. I entered Taughannock Park, walked twenty feet, drew this waterfall, and left. Apparently, right around the corner there’s the actual falls this park is built around – a 215 ft drop falls, the largest east of the Rockies. I’ll have to go back.
Not-So-Daily, Daily Drawing; Across the Street from Gimme Coffee
I should call this series of drawings ‘Gimme-Coffee-should-give-me-free-coffee-in-exchange-for-the-promo-drawings’ ; The tree across the street from the Gimme Coffee on west Cayuga street.
Not-So-Daily, Daily Drawing; Inside of Gimme Coffee

Today’s Daily – Steamboat Landing
Another architectural drawing, today of the Farmer’s Market barn at Steamboat Landing.
Another not-so-daily, daily drawing; Sage Hall
Today’s fix for my drawing habit. I wasn’t sure where I was, but I found it on Google street view afterwards. I was wandering around Cornell campus and had to draw this. Here’s a quick sketch of Sage Hall.
Stop Thief – Daily Drawing
Today’s daily, not-so-daily-drawing got cut short. This is part of the view from the Gimme Coffee on W. State st. facing south; or at least it was until the owner came over and took his bike away. The plans for this drawing were much larger – I was going to draw the whole bike, the buildings behind it, the cars going by. and some of the people on the patio… and then this guy comes along and just takes the bike away. Thing is, he was watching me draw so he knew what he was doing.Just because he was done his coffee shouldn’t mean he can just leave. Contrary to my ‘plays well with others’ site name, next time I’m going to put my own lock on it until I’m done.
Not-every-day, Daily Drawing: Days 1&2
The first in a series of not-every-day, daily sketches. This is the view from Gimme Coffee at the corner of Cascadilla and Lake. Sitting on the patio, facing southwest.
**UPDATE**Attached is tomorrow’s not-every-day, daily drawing. This is the view from Gimme Coffee at the corner of Cascadilla and Lake. Sitting on the patio, facing northeast -facing Gimme Coffee itself.
